Agawam City Council elects Russo president, Suffriti vice president

Agawam City Council holds organizational meeting, elects leadership. Anthony Russo won election as Council President with nine votes in favor and zero against, while Anthony Suffriti was unanimously elected Vice President under identical vote tallies. Councilors Calabrese and Sandlin were absent.
Councilor Robert Rossi, the eldest member, called the meeting to order at the Agawam Senior Center Veterans Hall following the swearing-in ceremony.
