Agawam Planning Board backs fence-height ordinance, approves Juniors Towing site plan. The board unanimously recommended approval of an ordinance increasing the allowed fence height from 6.5 feet to 8 feet, incorporating Building Inspector recommendations. Council President Anthony Russo, who sponsored the amendment, cited privacy concerns from residents with sloped properties; the Building Inspector had raised concerns about "sail effect" risk.
The board also unanimously approved a Site Plan for Juniors Towing at 73 Garden Street with outdoor vehicle storage limited to a designated secure area. Petitioner Wilson Maldonado agreed to comply with Building Inspector requirements and to limit outside storage to at most two vehicles. The board voted unanimously to release bonds for Nicole Terrace Subdivision.
