City Council approves reappointments and sets public hearing dates.

Agawam City Council approves reappointments and advances spending measures. The full eleven-member council unanimously reappointed Dennis King to the Veterans Council and elected Patrick Asta-Ferraro to the Community Preservation Act Committee. A $2,577,398 resolution to borrow for two fire engine pump trucks was referred to the Finance Committee, as was a separate $18,760 grant from the state Department of Fire Services and a $80,000 appropriation from the Municipal Golf Stabilization Fund.

Public hearings were set for May 4 on the five-year Capital Improvement Plan and May 18 on a zone change petition by Charlie's Garden Park, L.L.C., for property on Suffield Street.
