Agawam Conservation Commission approves energy center and multiple property projects. Chair Henry Kozloski and members Magda Galiatsos, Keven Brown, and Laura Fallon unanimously approved three determinations for the Agawam Energy Center at 769 Silver Street, conditioned on engineer-stamped site plans by May 7, 2026, surveyor marking of the 100-foot buffer zone, meadow seeding details, and 72-hour advance notice before the April 2027 construction start. The panel also unanimously approved an amended Order of Conditions for 184 River Road allowing homeowner Howard Kanegsberg to demolish and rebuild a house with 600 additional square feet of impervious area, with silt-sock erosion control and offsite debris removal required.
The Commission received $29,000 in Community Preservation Act funding to remove invasive bittersweet at School Street Park and the Bike Path.
