Conservation Commission approves forest ridge compensatory storage amendment

Agawam Conservation Commission approves four certificates of compliance and amendment to water storage conditions. The commission unanimously approved an amendment to the Order of Conditions for 56 Forest Ridge and 248 River Road, increasing compensatory water storage to 499 cubic yards to support future improvements on an adjoining parcel, with the added requirement that storage be completed before any filling occurs. Certificates of compliance were also unanimously issued for Still Brook Park, Tennessee Gas Pipeline work on Suffield Street, and partial completion at HP Hood's Main Street location.
A management plan for Still Brook pond treatment, requiring advance notification to the commission and pond closure during herbicide and algaecide applications, will receive its Order of Conditions at the February 26 meeting.
