Conservation Commission approves plan amendments and defers major projects

Conservation Commission · Meeting of May 14, 2026

Agawam Conservation Commission unanimously approves amendments to single-family and commercial projects. Chair Henry Kozloski and five members voted to approve revised plans and an Amended Order of Conditions for 184 River Road (Kanegsberg) and determined no amended orders were necessary for plan changes at Lot 2 Suffield Street (TCR Properties) and 497 South Westfield Street (Bretta), where relocating a mail kiosk reduces impervious surface by 2,000 square feet. The commission continued the 7,900-square-foot warehouse expansion at 233 Main Street (HP Hood, LLC) and an Abbreviated Notice of Resource Area Delineation for 311 Shoemaker Lane (Ameresco, Inc.) both to May 28, 2026, pending engineering and Fire Department approval.

The commission also issued two Certificates of Compliance and approved alternative silt control measures.
