Golf Commission approves prior minutes, reviews cart replacement strategy.

Golf Commission · Meeting of March 19, 2026

Agawam Golf Commission approves prior meeting minutes and receives course operations update. Municipal Golf Course Manager Thomas DiRico reported the course is targeting a soft opening on March 28 and has secured new Monday-night league play and additional outings for April and May. The commission paid off golf carts and rejected a $6,000 annual maintenance contract, with DiRico noting the new equipment is under warranty and the estimated first-year maintenance cost will be lower.

DiRico said Club Car has proven reliable across 20 years of his experience at multiple courses and that new-cart reliability is essential given the volume of weekend players paying $50 green fees.
