Agawam Planning Board unanimously approves preliminary plan for South Westfield subdivision. Chair Violet Baldwin guided the board's approval of the 130 South Westfield Street preliminary plan, advancing the project to the Definitive Plan stage, where more detailed engineering and environmental studies will be submitted and abutters within 500 feet will be notified. The Safety Officer's traffic analysis, conducted in response to public concerns, found no safety issues with the proposed subdivision.
Three abutters opposed the project; one expressed support.
