AGAWAM — Planning Board continues Tirone 21-lot subdivision plan. Chair Violet Baldwin and the board deferred action on the 130 South Westfield Street proposal to September 17, pending outstanding engineering review and fire department approval, as eleven abutters voiced concerns about traffic impacts on already congested roads, existing flooding and drainage problems, and impacts to wetlands and wildlife. Board members Frank DeStefano and Charles Elfman shared the traffic concerns.
The board unanimously approved a separate Form A subdivision for Chanda Care, Inc. at 430 North West Street, allowing the division of one lot into three parcels meeting all zoning requirements.
