Agawam Planning Board endorses 270-day moratorium on data centers and approves equipment repair facility. Vice Chair Frank DeStefano and board members voted 4-0 to support Council President Anthony Russo's moratorium, which allows time for the city to research and develop a protective ordinance to shield residents. The board also conditionally approved a 10,152-square-foot equipment repair facility at 314-318 Silver Street for Cain's Mechanical, pending an approved ANR plan.
The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with 27 parking spaces and repair bays for heavy construction equipment.
