Planning Board hears on Moore and Valley Streets infrastructure grant progress

AGAWAM — Planning Board reviews $663,000 infrastructure grant for Moore and Valley Streets. Senior Planner Joe Hagopian of the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission reported that the FY24 Community Development Block Grant covers water, sewer, drainage, and road improvements, with bids due January 28, 2026 and possible construction starting in March or April. Acting Chair Frank DeStefano and members Charles Elfman, Michael DiLullo, and Michael Cleavall heard testimony that the town may have surplus funds for additional work and is positioned to apply for more FY26 CDBG funding.
The board tabled approval of prior minutes to February 5.
