Planning Board · Meeting of June 4, 2026

AGAWAM — Planning Board recommends City Council deny zone change for group home. The Board voted 2-1 on June 4 to send a negative recommendation on the proposal by Chanda Care, Inc. to rezone 430 North West Street from Business B to Residence A-2. Vice Chair Frank DeStefano, Michael DiLullo, and Charles Elfman heard testimony from eight residents citing traffic concerns and septic system impacts before voting.

In separate action, the Board unanimously approved site plans for HP Hood, LLC at 233 Main Street and Ahmed Aljanabi at 195 South Westfield Street, and tabled Juniors Towing's application to June 18.
