Agawam Zoning Board approves vehicle sales operation and solar exemption on same night. Chairperson Doreen Prouty, Vice-Chair Richard Maggi, and Acting Clerk Vincenzo Ronghi unanimously granted a special permit for Tsimoshak's vehicle sales at 371 South Westfield Street, capped at 16 vehicles and operating Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., after confirming the amended site plan met required setbacks. The Board also unanimously overturned the Building Inspector's denial of a permit for Agawam MA Shoemaker Lane Solar LLC's proposed agrivoltaics system, finding it exempt from local zoning under state agricultural law.
Two Longbrook Estates Condominium Trust cases were continued to May 11 pending clarification of legal nonconforming status and registry of deeds filings.
