Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of March 9, 2026
Agawam Zoning Board continues fence variance, schedules solar appeal. Chair Doreen Prouty adjourned Case 2042 (Dommenko, 262 Colemore Street) to May 11 after Town Councilor Anthony Russo announced a pending zoning ordinance amendment to permit fences taller than six and a half feet with a building permit. The board also scheduled a new case for April 13 involving an appeal of the Building Inspector's denial of a permit to install a solar array on Shoemaker Lane, characterized as an agrivoltaic use.
In Case 2043 (Tsimoshak, South Westfield Street), a used car dealership special permit hearing was continued to March 23 after the petitioner's plan lacked required information under town code chapters 180-13 and 114-5.
