Zoning Board delays decision on Eversource fence dispute

AGAWAM — The Zoning Board of Appeals continued a hearing on an eight-foot fence installed by Eversource at 4 Colemore Street, deferring decision to March 9 pending legal counsel. Natalya Dommenko appealed a Building Inspector violation notice, arguing the fence provides privacy and noise reduction near an Eversource easement and utility structure on the property. Board member Viktor Savonin questioned whether the utility company properly exercised its easement rights and suggested consulting the Town Solicitor.
Town Councilor Russo signaled interest in exploring a zoning ordinance amendment to permit eight-foot fencing in certain situations. The Board also unanimously approved prior minutes from December 8 and January 12.
