Agawam School Committee closes the school year with a new principal, an extended superintendent contract, and 11 policy approvals. The committee approved warrants totaling $4,159,168.37, including a payroll warrant of $3,669,187.73, and passed 11 policies in a single session — among them the new IMG-2 animals-in-schools therapy dog policy and three raffle-restriction updates aligning district policy with Massachusetts General Law. Finance Subcommittee member Mr. Christopher reported that the City Council approved the 2026-27 school budget with no program or position cuts.
