Agawam Soccer Association is fielding a record 26 travel teams for the upcoming 2026–2027 season while fall registration opens for its InTown program.

AGAWAM -- The Agawam Soccer Association announced it will field a record 26 teams in the Roots Soccer League for the 2026–2027 season, the organization's largest travel-soccer roster to date.

YOUTH LEAGUES

Coaches and committee members are finalizing roster assignments for the expanded travel program across age groups from 8U through 14U for both boys and girls. The association is actively seeking volunteer coaches to fill several open positions at multiple age levels. Parents interested in coaching can submit a volunteer registration form on the ASA website or contact Jason Hanscom at jasonhanscom1@gmail.com or Chris Chechile at chris_chechile@yahoo.com.

On the InTown side, registration is open for Fall 2026 InTown Soccer, open to players ages 3 through eighth grade. The season is scheduled to begin the weekend of September 12–13. Registration closes August 28; players who sign up after that date will be placed on a wait list and charged a late fee.

To support coaches across the expanded roster, ASA is also running a coach education initiative that opens training sessions led by the U9 Boys, U13 Boys, and U13 Girls head coaches to observation and peer mentorship. Coaches interested in attending a session are asked to contact the relevant lead coach in advance.
