Agawam Soccer Association opens summer camp this week and confirms a record 26 travel teams for the coming season.

AGAWAM -- Agawam High School had no scheduled athletic contests during the week of July 20-26, according to ArbiterLive.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- The Agawam Soccer Association's summer camp was set to begin this week, with organizers reminding parents to check in at the tent near the concession stand on the first morning, arriving about 15 minutes early to register. The association said all weather-related updates and camp news would be posted to the Agawam Soccer Facebook page, and directed daytime questions to on-site contact Brian Anderson at 978-548-8599. The concession stand will sell drinks and small snacks, no lunch, and asked families to bring small bills since change cannot be made.

On the travel side, Agawam Soccer announced it is fielding a record 26 teams in the Roots Soccer League for the 2026-2027 season. The coaching staff and committee are finalizing roster assignments and are seeking volunteers to fill several open coaching positions across multiple age groups; interested volunteers were directed to a volunteer registration form or to contact Jason Hanscom (jasonhanscom1@gmail.com) or Chris Chechile (chris_chechile@yahoo.com).

Registration is also open for Fall 2026 InTown Soccer, covering players from age 3 through 8th grade. The season is scheduled to start the weekend of September 12-13, and registration closes August 28; players who register after that date will be wait-listed and charged a late fee.
